Maceió Business Directory

Practical advice by category, with businesses listed only when a public source confirms the details.

How it works

The Maceió Guide business directory gathers, by category, advice to help you choose well in Maceió and the surrounding area and, when there is a source, a list of businesses. Three rules apply to every category:

  • Verifiable public source. A business is only listed if its details appear in a public source, such as an official website, a Cadastur registration (the Ministry of Tourism registry) or a government publication. Each listing shows the source and the date it was checked.
  • No phone numbers and no WhatsApp. We publish the name, address, category and official website. Contact is made through the business’s own channels.
  • Sponsorship labeled. If a business pays for a placement, the listing carries a sponsored label. Being in the guide is not an editorial recommendation.

Categories

Each category has a text on what to look out for before booking in Maceió:

Why check Cadastur

Cadastur is the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism’s registry of tourism service providers. Under Law No. 11,771/2008, it’s mandatory for accommodation, travel agencies, tourist transport companies, event organizers, theme parks and tourist campsites. Tour guides must also be registered. Lookups are public and free on the Cadastur website.

Your business in the directory

If you run a business in Maceió or the surrounding area that serves visitors, make a free listing. The publishing rules are in our editorial policy.

Frequently asked questions

How does a business get into the directory?

Through the listing form. Our editors check the details in a public source, such as the official website or Cadastur, before publishing. The basic listing is free.

Why are some categories empty?

Because we only publish businesses with a verifiable public source. An empty category is better than a list copied from other websites or with details we couldn't check.

Why are there no phone numbers or WhatsApp?

It is an editorial rule of the guide. We show the name, address, official website and the source of the information. To contact the business, use its official channels.

Does being in the directory mean the business is recommended?

No. A listing only means the details were checked in a public source. It's neither a ranking nor a quality rating. Sponsorship, when it exists, is always labeled.
